Updated over a month ago

Before You Begin

  • Daily usage records for each venue

  • Attendance records by event

  • Seat counts for each active venue

Completing This Page

Seat Count
Use standard configuration capacity. Include all usable fixed seats; exclude temporary or removable seating.

Utilization Days
Every day of the year must be categorized, and the six categories must total 365 (or 366 in a leap year). When a day has multiple uses, categorize it by the highest-priority activity using this hierarchy: Performance Day → Non-Performance Day → Rehearsal Day → Tech Day → Maintenance Day → Dark Day.

For example: if a rehearsal takes place in the morning and a performance in the evening, that day is counted as a Performance Day.

Genre Classification
Activity is entered by presenter type and genre. If you're unsure how to map your programming to the 11 genres used by Benchmark, download the Guide to Show Genres.

Non-ticketed activity
Include non-ticketed events when entering # Tickets Sold, # Comps, and Total Drop Count — report them with zero ticket counts but don't omit them.

For field definitions and sourcing details, see the Page 2a Fields Catalog.

Next Steps

Proceed to Page 2b to enter non-performance attendance data.
