How to Complete Page 2a: Attendance & Utilization

Overview

Page 2a collects data about how your venues are used throughout the year, including performance days, dark days, and attendance figures. This information helps analyze facility utilization and audience engagement.

Before You Begin

Gather the following information:

  • Venue calendar/scheduling data

  • Daily usage records for each venue

  • Attendance records

  • Seat counts for each venue

Venue Configuration

Enter Seat Count for each venue

  • Use standard configuration capacity

  • Include all usable fixed seats

  • Exclude temporary or removable seating

Utilization Data

Enter days by category:

  • Performance Days

  • Non-Performance Days

  • Rehearsal Days

  • Tech Days

  • Maintenance Days

  • Dark Days

About Utilization

  • The values from all 6 categories should total 365 (or 366 in a leap year)

  • Every day of the year should be categorized based on the hierarchy of use shown in the bullet list above.

    • For example: if a rehearsal takes place in the morning and a performance takes place in the evening on the same day, that day is counted as a "Performance Day"

Activity information

Enter number of events by presenter type:

  • Center Presentations

  • Resident Company

  • Non-Profit Rental

  • Commercial Rental

and by genre:

  • Classical

  • Dance

  • Opera

  • Theater

  • Education & Family

  • Variety

  • Film

  • Popular Music

  • Lecture

  • Comedy

  • Community-based

Continue with # Tickets Sold, # Comps, Total Drop Count; be sure to include non-ticketed activity for each genre and presenter-type
