How to Complete Page 2b: Non-Performance Attendance

Updated over a month ago

Overview

Page 2b captures attendance for events that occur outside fixed-seating venues — lobbies, outdoor plazas, atria, and similar spaces. Non-performance refers to the space, not the content. A ballet staged in your outdoor sculpture garden is still a Dance event; it just belongs on Page 2b instead of 2a.

Before You Begin

Gather attendance records for any events that took place outside your fixed-seating venues, including:

  • Educational workshops and programs

  • Public tours

  • Community events and outdoor programming

Configure a Non-Performance Space First

Before entering activity data, you must configure each non-performance space in Settings. You'll need Org Admin access to do this.

  1. Select Activity Spaces from the Settings menu

  2. Click Create Space

  3. Enter a Name (e.g., "Lobby")

  4. Enter an Address — begin typing and select from the Google autocomplete results

  5. Select a Venue Type — choose the closest match; "Lobby" has its own type

  6. Enter a Capacity — for large variable-capacity spaces (outdoor lawn, etc.), use a realistic maximum, such as fire marshal occupancy

  7. Check This is primarily a non-performance space

  8. Click Save to return to Page 2b

Completing This Page

Page 2b uses the same activity framework as Page 2a — events by presenter type and genre — but without utilization day data. Enter all attendance for events that took place outside your fixed-seating venues, including full programs staged in non-traditional spaces.

Next Steps

Proceed to Page 3 to enter staffing data.
