Understanding the Org Admin Role

Updated over 8 months ago

What is an Organization Admin?

An Organization Admin is a permission that provides access to all administrative settings in Performance Analytics. This permission level is typically assigned to users responsible for configuring the platform, managing user access, and maintaining organizational settings.

What Can Org Admins Do?

Users with Organization Admin permissions can:

  • Access all modules in the Settings menu

  • Create and manage other user accounts

  • Configure the organization profile

  • Manage activity spaces and venues

  • Track data submissions, close and re-open data inputs

  • Configure the organization chart

  • Assign Organization Admin designation to other users

What Can Org Admins Not Do?

The Org Admin users do not have the ability to provision access to the Compensation Report. To ensure the privacy of the compensation data, only AMS Admins are able to provision access at this time.

For access to the Compensation Report, the CEO or CFO of the organization should email support [at] getperformance.com with the subject "Compensation Report Access" and list in the body the name and email of the user or users who need access.

Accessing Admin Functions

Organization Admins can access administrative functions by:

  1. Clicking the βš™οΈ Settings icon in the top-right corner of any screen

  2. Selecting the desired settings module from the dropdown menu

The following settings modules are available to all Organization Admins:

  • My Organization

  • Activity Spaces

  • User Management

  • Analytics Contribution Tracker

  • Organization Chart Configuration

Requesting Organization Admin Access

If you need Organization Admin permissions:

  1. Contact an existing Organization Admin: Any current Organization Admin at your organization can grant this permission through the User Management module

  2. No existing admin?: Contact AMS Support directly for assistance

Best Practices for Organization Admins

  • Limit admin access: Only assign Organization Admin permissions to users who truly need comprehensive administrative access

  • Document admin users: Maintain a record of which staff members have admin access

  • Regular review: Periodically review admin permissions to ensure they're still appropriate

  • User training: Ensure all Organization Admins understand the impact of their changes to platform configuration
