For Report Users

If you're joining an organization that already submits data to Compensation and need to understand the analytics capabilities:

Accessing Reports

Reports are organized into three main sections, each providing different analytical views:

  • Principal Administrator analysis - compare executive compensation and demographics

  • Department-specific comparisons - analyze compensation across functional areas

  • All positions overview - understand organization-wide trends

Understanding the Data

  • All data is grouped by organization size for meaningful comparisons

  • Reports show three-year trends where available

  • Data only displays when enough organizations have submitted information to ensure confidentiality

For Data Submitters

If you're responsible for entering your organization's compensation data:

Before You Begin

You'll need:

  • Access to your organization's salary and benefits information

  • Knowledge of your organizational structure and reporting lines

  • 30-60 minutes to complete the initial setup

Setting Up Your Organization Structure

First, configure your organization's structure:

  1. Navigate to βš™οΈ Settings > Org Chart Configuration

  2. Create position titles that reflect your organization's roles

  3. Map these positions across departments and levels (up to 7 levels supported)

  4. Add multiple positions to the same level where needed

Entering Your Data

With your structure configured, enter:

Core Compensation Information

  • Base salaries

  • Bonuses and incentives

  • Deferred compensation

  • Benefits values

Supporting Demographics

  • Reporting relationships

  • Employment status (full-time/part-time)

  • Education levels

  • Industry experience
