Revenue groups define how individual revenue line items from your data inputs are combined for analysis in Benchmark reports. Each group pulls together related revenue types so you can see totals and peer comparisons at a meaningful level — for example, all programming-related ticket and other revenue in a single "Programming" group, or all contributed sources combined in a single "Contributed Revenue" group.
There are two kinds of revenue groups:
Operational groups correspond to functional areas of your organization (Programming, Retail, Theater Operations, etc.) and are used in the Operating Results and Dashboard reports.
Analytical rollup groups combine revenue types across functional areas for specific comparison purposes. For example, "Food & Beverage" rolls up Concessions, Catering, and Restaurant revenue into a single total, and "Contributed Revenue (all sources)" combines all contributed support types regardless of source.
Some revenue types appear in more than one group — this is by design. A revenue type like Concessions appears in both the Retail operational group and the standalone Food & Beverage rollup group, because each serves a different analytical purpose.
For formula definitions and sourcing behind calculated metrics, see the Benchmark Calculations & Formulas Reference Guide.
